27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.
28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
It is important that you believe right. Why? It is unto you according to your faith. Everything about your life is dictated by your faith. Our opening Scripture gives an account of two blind men who followed Jesus, crying for mercy. Jesus asked if they believed that He could heal them. They responded in the affirmative. They showed great faith in Jesus’ power to heal them; they had absolute faith in the healing power of Jesus. “Then touched he their eyes, saying, according to your faith be it unto you.” Notice Jesus did not say, “according to my faith”, rather He said, “according to your faith”. The healing of the two blind men was not so much about the faith of Jesus as much as it was their faith to receive their healing. Jesus Christ is the Healer, so He is always anointed to heal the sick. Jesus was able to heal them, but they had to believe that he can do it. It was their faith that was required at that moment. Sometimes, we believe in the faith of others to get some things done, but you ought to learn to use your own faith to receive God’s blessings that are readily available to you in Christ. Understand that it is faith that receives from the Lord, not crying and self-pity. Believe in God’s ability to help you, to save you, to deliver you, to lift you, to protect you, to meet your needs and to decorate you with His goodness and glory. Believe!
Jesus said to the two blind men, it is unto you according to your faith; meaning it is your faith that determines your outcomes in life. Whether or not it is going to happen for you, it has nothing to do with God’s faith, it has everything to do with what you believe. What do you believe? What you believe will affect you. What people don’t believe is an indirect expression of what they believe. If you don’t believe in prosperity, then you believe contrary to abundance and increase. There is no such thing as a neutral state of faith. Faith must be active, pointed and focused. You may think you do or do not believe something, but the truth is, what you believe either you know it or not is what is ruling your life. It is a law that came out of the mouth of Jesus “…according to your faith be it unto you…” Choose to believe the Word, for that’s what you will have.
SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that my faith is working, and I believe the Word of God! I believe the Word actively, thoroughly and substantially. I am a believer!
