25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Our opening Scripture chronicles the account of a woman who had heard of the good news of Jesus’ anointed healing ministry, how that He was anointed to heal the sick. She was a woman with the issue of blood for twelve years. She believed that Jesus was anointed of the Holy Spirit, not for Himself but for those who needed that anointing. So, she went all out and came to Jesus in order that she might receive her healing. She did not allow the crowd around Jesus to distract her, as she stretched forth her hands and touched the garment of Jesus. She was healed immediately and Jesus knowing in Himself, that virtue had left Him asked: “who touched me?” Jesus knew that the touch was a touch of faith. The woman came before Jesus and said “Master, I touched you”, and confessed what she had done, and Jesus said something very profound in verse 34 of Mark 5, “And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace and be whole of thy plague.” What made her whole? Her Faith. Listen, your faith makes you whole. When you exercise faith in the power of God to heal, your faith will make you whole.
Notice, Jesus emphasized the woman’s faith, not the anointing. Yes, it was the anointing on Jesus that made her whole, but Jesus placed the emphasis on her faith because the anointing is always constant, always available. Jesus is ever anointed; He is the anointed One. He is not going to be either less or more anointed than He is now. The word of God is ever anointed. The Holy Spirit is ever the anointing, but faith is not always demonstrated towards or reposed in God. So, the emphasis is on her faith. It is so much of your faith to receive what Jesus has done for you than it is the ability of God to meet your needs. You must repose faith in God’s healing, prospering power to bless you. Ability is not a challenge with God. He is ever able and ever willing to bless you, but your faith must reach out to receive what He has provided for you. We only have to learn how to put out our faith to receive from the Lord. How? Your faith becomes active when you propel it with desire, speaking God’s Word and acting on the Word. Take God’s Word at face value. Receive the Word as God Himself speaking to you. Believe the Word and act upon it.
SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that the Word is working for me because my faith is working effectively. My faith makes me whole in Jesus’ Name! Amen!
