We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
A young man walked up to a powerful man of God and asked, “Man of God, I have been holding on to my faith all the while, expecting God to heal me; but I have not yet received my healing”, and the man of God simply said, “that’s the reason you’ve not been healed yet,” then the man of God said to him, “Release that faith, don’t hold on to it.” Faith isn’t meant to be held on to if you so desire a manifestation of your faith, you must learn to release it. Many believers are still holding on to their faith, instead of releasing it. Then you might ask, “How do I release my faith?” You release your faith through your words and desire. Yes, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17) however, faith is released by speaking words consistent with your faith, and/or taking steps in line with what you believe. This is what we are saying according to the Word: So, faith comes by hearing the Word of God and goes into operation by speaking the Word of God, which is a form of acting on the Word. It comes by hearing and goes forth by speaking. The woman who had the issue of blood for 12 years knew this “For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.” Mark 5:28.
God performs what He promises when we act on His Word. Bible-believing faith is never void of action. Biblical faith is full of action. You believe, then you speak, and you act. Faith without corresponding action is unscriptural; it is dead. It is mental assent that lacks action. Genesis 15:6 “And he (Abraham) believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.” Biblical faith in God demands and creates action. When you see somebody that claims to be in faith who is passive, he does not truly believe; he is a liar. People who truly believe are active, saying something and doing something consistent with their faith. Listen, you cannot believe God and not act in line with what you believe. You can’t be in faith for prosperity and not have something you are doing. Faith in prosperity requires that you have a job or a business that God can bless. You believe in prosperity? Then go to work with the right attitude and be diligent. Remember, faith is anchored on the Word and it births action consistent with the Word.
