1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
4 So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
God told Abraham to get out of his country and from his people to a land that He alone will show him. This mean that all through the journey, he will need to trust in God, simply because, if someone is taking you to a place that you do not know, and he is the only one who knows the place, you will need to follow him in absolute trust and surrender. Abraham didn’t know the place God was taking him, so he had to trust God absolutely to take him there. Beloved, on that journey of faith to the promised land, you need to trust God absolutely, doing only what He tells you to do. On the faith lane, you cannot assume anything whatsoever. There is no room for guess work. When father Abraham stepped out in faith following God to the place where He would show him, he knew that he had stepped out of himself into God; he knew that he was not going to lean on the arm of flesh anymore, he understood very clearly and perfectly that his life and journey must follow the path and trajectory of God’s perfect will for him. That’s what it takes to walk and live by faith. Your entire life is cast on God in reckless abandon, so to speak. You lose yourself to God and follow Him totally.
Understand that the path of faith is that of the blessing. Abraham followed God beginning at Genesis 12 and when he got to Genesis 22, he had inherited the blessing. In Genesis 24:1, the Word tells us that Abraham was old and well stricken in age and the Lord had blessed him in all things. Listen, beloved, you cannot follow God and miss out on the blessing. No, absolutely not! The path of faith leads to an evident and definite destination of complete, total and rounded blessing of God. Child of God, as the seed of Abraham, God has already conferred the blessing on you, and for that blessing to manifest or materialize, you will need to follow God every step of the way. You will need to follow God’s plan for your life. You will need to lean on God absolutely and trust him with your life. Don’t ever think that God will follow you to the destination you have imagined in your heart! You are meant to follow God to the destination that He has designed for you. Understand that it is not in man that walks to direct his own steps. Understand that the steps of every child of God are ordered by the Lord Himself! Stop arguing with God! Stop struggling with God! Let the Lord have His way in your life. Surrender to Him and to His plan for you. He is the only wise God! The sharpest and best of your plans cannot come near His plan for you. God’s plan for your life is the best! Surrender to God’s plan for you!
SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I surrender my entire life, ambitions, aspirations and desires to God and to His plan for me. I gladly embrace God’s plan for me completely in Jesus’ Name! Amen!
