17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
The born-again child of God is not ordinary; he or she is extraordinary. Our opening Scripture reveals that anyone, irrespective of his past, background, race, colour, who is in Christ, the anointed One, is a new creature. The man in Christ is a different species of being after the order of Christ. Yes, there were people under the Old Covenant who were anointed but they weren’t in Christ, that is, in union with Christ as we have it today as Christians under the New Covenant. There is a difference between “I am anointed” and “I am in the anointed One.” The child of God is in perpetual union with Christ, the Anointed One; Christ has become his strength. You need to see yourself in Christ; you need to quit seeing yourself after the flesh, for we do not know anyone in Christ after the flesh anymore. Think about this, if I pour oil on your head and cause oil to flow from within you, would there be any difference between the two experiences? Listen, the latter was what happened when you got born again and received the Holy Spirit. You are now in the Anointed One with His anointing. You are more than a man; you are not a mere man. Christ is in you, and that’s your hope of glory. Do you think this is just mere talk? You are in Christ! Now, think about who you are in union with Christ. There is a dimension of God in you by reason of your union with Christ by faith which the light of the Word is revealing to you! Receive this light freely as it comes to you through the Word! Don’t reject it!
Acts 9:4-5 records the account of Saul of Tarsus that was later called Paul and his encounter with the Lord. “And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.” Now, Saul was persecuting the Body of Believers, but Jesus appeared to Him and asked why He was persecuting Him, revealing His oneness with believers. We are the Body of Christ, Jesus is the head of the Body, therefore as the head is inseparable from the body in oneness, so are we inseparable from Christ. We are one in and with Him. There is a level of light that gets into you of God’s Word that when you sleep, you radiate light. This light comes as you feed on your identity in Christ from the Word. Begin to see yourself as God sees you. You are a conqueror, a champion, a winner-man! You are one with Christ. That’s the true you. Believe it.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I am a new creature in Christ, the old life is gone and the new has come; therefore, I walk in newness of life perpetually in Jesus’ Name!
