8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
It is God’s will and pleasure to guide His children. God wants you led and guided. Our opening Scripture reveals God’s commitment to guide us as His children. He said, “I will instruct you; I will teach you; I will guide you,” an easier way to remember these precious promises is by spelling them in three letters – ITG: Instructions, Teaching, and Guidance. Why is it important for you to know that it is God’s will to guide and lead you into His perfect plan for your life? It is because faith begins where the will of God is known. You can’t believe God for divine guidance without first knowing that it is God’s will for you to be guided and led. Your faith can be released towards receiving divine guidance when you know that it is God’s perfect will to guide you. God does not want us to miss out on the beautiful things that He has prepared for us; so, He seeks to guide us in His perfect will because He loves us. Say it with your mouth, “It is God’s will to guide me and lead me into His perfect plan for my life.” Romans 8:14 says “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Psalms 23:1 says, “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” The Amplified version puts it like this, “The LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want.” Why will I not want? It is because the Lord is my Shepherd. This shows that the provisions of God for our lives are tied to Him guiding us. If you are not guided by the Lord, you cannot be provided for. It is when we are guided that we are led into that beautiful wealthy place that God has prepared for us.
Psalms 27:1 says, “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Who is your light? The Lord. Jeremiah 3:4 says, “Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth?” Who is the guide of your youth? God! How then does He guide you? Jesus said in John 16:13-14 “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak, and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine and shall shew it unto you.” Proverbs 20:27 says, “The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” God wants each of His children to be led by His Spirit through the recreated human spirit, the innermost being of man. It is God’s will for you to be led in this world and as you follow His Word and yield to His Spirit, He will guide you into rest and into the fulness of His plan for you.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that it is God’s will for me to know His perfect plan for me; therefore, by the help of the Spirit of God and of the Word, I walk in divine guidance!
