22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
God is the Almighty and, in His sovereignty, He has given man a place to operate, and in that place, He has put certain principles in our hands that we can engage in order to produce results according to our desire, consistent with His will. One of such principles is the principle of giving and receiving, the principle of sowing and reaping, seedtime and harvest. It is established in God’s Word that there is such a thing as giving and receiving, sowing and reaping, seedtime and harvest. Our opening Scripture reveals the covenant that God cut with Noah after he had offered a burnt offering unto God. The Word tells us that the LORD smelled a sweet savour and said, as long as the earth remains, seedtime and harvest shall not cease. God Himself inaugurated the principle of seedtime and harvest; He signed it into force. There is such a thing as seedtime and harvest; it means that you sow your seed, and you reap a harvest consistent with the seed sown. It is worthy of note to mention that this principle is a cycle that goes around. Note that this principle is seedtime and harvest, which means that you’ll keep having harvest when you keep sowing your seeds. Note that it is not seedtime and seedtime forever, and it is not harvest and harvest, either, but seedtime and harvest. Did you take note of that? When there is seedtime, there must be harvest. If there is no seedtime, there can never be harvest. Therefore, “…while the earth remains…” for as long as the earth is in existence, seedtime and harvest shall not cease.
In Philippians 4:15, Apostle Paul wrote to the Philippians concerning their communication with him regarding giving and receiving. “Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.” Apostle Paul spoke of ‘giving and receiving.’ The Church at Philippi understood and engaged the principle of giving and receiving. Galatians 6:6-7 says “Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Here, we see the principle of sowing and reaping. This is the principle that determines outcome in life. Your outcome or result in life is not subject to circumstances. No, a thousand times no! If you really want to change or upgrade the outcome of your life, sowing and reaping is the principle to activate. You don’t have to live life at the mercy of your environment. You can determine the outcome of your life. Step up your value; there are principles you can engage, and your value will certainly go up. The principle of giving and receiving is the principle of giving away value for another value or for a higher value. Seed is anything you can give away or sow into a system of reward that will generate value or a harvest of a higher value. Put your seed to work, and harvest will surely come!
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I believe in the principle of seedtime and harvest, sowing and reaping, giving and receiving; therefore, I sow my seed in faith and expect a harvest by the blessing of the Lord. Amen!
